Inclusion in Digital Marketing Scholarship
In 2020 Intuitive Digital launched our Inclusion In Digital Marketing Scholarship.
Every year we’ll be awarding a scholarship to an individual who is pursuing a college degree in the marketing field, including those interested in studying web development or design, communications, UX, PPC, SEO, and graphic design.
In our inaugural year 2020, we awarded a $1000 scholarship. Meet our 2020 recipient Jessica!
In our second year, we were able to award $3500 to another incredible student who is already making an impact on his community. Meet our 2021 recipient Danny!
2022 – Our Scholarship Is Growing!
This year we are thrilled to have two legacy partners continuing to support this effort Avenue, and Gravitate.
They’ll be joined by two new incredible partners for our 2022 scholarship: Lytics and the AMA Portland Chapter.
Through their generous support, we’ve been able to raise at least $3000 for this year’s scholarship! In addition, the AMA PDX chapter will be providing the recipient with a free membership for a year. Which is an incredible way to continue learning and making connections in the marketing field.

Take Our MoneyMeet our 2022 Legacy Partners:
Avenue is a B Corp, purpose-driven digital marketing agency, based in Portland, Oregon, and fostering a diverse and inclusive digital marketing community is a key priority of theirs. As a woman and BIPOC/AAPI led company, the Avenue team has first-hand experience with the systemic barriers that are present in the marketing industry. Avenue believes it is important to acknowledge that we have all grown up in, and been shaped by, institutions that have preserved systemic racism, such as schools, workplaces, government, financial institutions, places of worship and more.
Participating in this scholarship program is an opportunity that aligns with their company values and other anti-racism initiatives, as they actively work to make digital marketing education more accessible, and to lay the groundwork for a more diverse, equitable and inclusive digital marketing industry in Oregon.
As a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Women Business Enterprise (WBE), Emerging Small Business (ESB) and Certified B Corporation®, Avenue is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism across all facets of their business, and they continue to do the work to address systemic racism.
In 2021 they partnered with Prosper Portland and Mercatus to support 14 women and BIPOC entrepreneurs through digital marketing consultation and business support, as well as business mentorship for one global student entrepreneur through the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) GSEA program. They also partner with the Emerging Leaders Internship and have sponsored PDXWIT (Portland Women in Tech) for the last five years. These are all initiatives they are continuing in 2022.

Gravitate is a digital marketing agency based in Vancouver, Washington. They believe our industry is made better through diversity and inclusion. It’s also the right thing to do. They’re committed to making this happen, both through participation in the scholarship program, as well as many internal initiatives they’ve been working on.

AMA PDX brings together these professionals, from across Portland and the surrounding areas, through valuable professional development events, networking opportunities, and monthly luncheons.
We are committed to being a diverse, equitable and inclusive organization because marketing is for everyone.
Why a Digital Marketing Scholarship?
We know that Portland, OR is one of the whitest cities in America. The tech and startup community is unfortunately no different. Despite that massive shortcoming, there’s a lot to love about both! Our city offers: four beautiful seasons, breweries, vineyards and distilleries for days and all the outdoor sports you can name. We have a lively arts culture and music scene, farmer’s markets of legend, and a community with meetup groups for just about anything you’re into.
As a member of the tech and startup community, Intuitive Digital is committed to encouraging Inclusion & Diversity in the city and the industry; this scholarship is one way we are walking our talk towards that commitment.
In addition to the city you can experience an award-winning tech startup that prioritizes creating a work-life balance for its employees, invests time and resources into volunteer work and community building, and likes to bond together over a glass of beer (or a mocktail, you do you).
